The wholegrain groats are simply dried then cut into pieces by steel, resulting in a dense chewy texture and nuttier flavour than traditional rolled oats
A great base for your breakfast cereals, as well as a versatile baking ingredient. Steel cut oats take longer to cook than rolled oats, but they are worth the wait.
Whip up a healthy breakfast by adding your favourite milk, or just water. Add 1 cup of steel-cut oats to 3 cups of liquid, bring to the boil then simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add in some nuts, seeds and fresh fruit before serving.
